Debenhams Launches Biggest Ever Half Price Sale
Posted June 8th, 2011 in
Debenhams has launched its biggest ever Half Price sale with over two million items reduced across womenswear, menswear, beauty, kids and home. The retailer’s innovative fleet of foot promotional stance will change the face of the high street, forcing others to follow its lead.
The scheduled in-store and on-line sale, which starts slightly earlier than last year, begins on Thursday 9th June, 2011 and falls against a backdrop of food inflation at a two year high and a 19% rise in gas bills.
Shoppers will be able to pick up their summer essentials - beach towels, swimsuits, suitcases, perfume, sun hats and more - at 50 per cent off, ready for the approaching holiday season. Customers looking to ‘staycation’ and revitalise their homes will find cups and saucers, dinner plates and kitchen equipment at bargain prices.
Said Debenhams' Deputy Chief Executive, Michael Sharp, “This week our biggest ever Half Price sale will offer thousands of lines at great reductions in store and online.
“Our fleet of foot pre-planned promotional strategy is a hit with our customers and our Half Price sale is just another example of that”.
Well known names such as Betty Jackson.Black, Star by Julien Macdonald, J by Jasper Conran, Rocha.John Rocha, Butterfly by Matthew Williamson, Jeff Banks and St George by Duffer will all see reductions.
In addition, famous high street names that have an offer in store including Elizabeth Arden, Lancôme, YSL, Clarins, Coast, Kaliko, Oasis, Planet, Dune, Kurt Geiger, Swarovski and Warehouse will also be available at knock down prices.
The price cutting campaign will continue until June 29th and covers womenswear, menswear and kids’ clothing, lingerie, beauty and fragrance, homewares, luggage and accessories.
Michael Sharp continues, “Our sales move will clearly be welcomed by customers. With our designer names and top high street brands there really is no reason to shop anywhere else for your summer must haves”.
